Brew and Beam (“we”, “our”) is a home-café blog at https://brewandbeam.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit, and how we use it. We keep it simple: we collect as little as possible.
Information you give us
Contact form. If you message us through our Contact page, we receive your name, email address, and message so we can reply. We use this only to respond to you — we never share or sell it. Messages are kept for up to 12 months, then deleted.
Information collected automatically
Cookies. We use a small number of cookies to make the site work — for example, caching (via LiteSpeed Cache) to load pages faster. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, just a little slower.
Server logs. Like almost every website, our hosting provider records basic technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, time of visit) in server logs for security and troubleshooting. We don’t use this to identify you personally.
Affiliate links
Some of our articles may contain affiliate links to products we mention. If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We only recommend things we’d use in our own home café. (None of our posts contain affiliate links yet — when they do, we’ll mark them clearly in the article.)
Analytics
We do not currently use analytics tools that track you across the web. If that changes, we’ll update this policy.
Embedded content
Our articles may occasionally embed content from other sites (for example, a video). Embedded content behaves as if you visited that site directly, and that site may collect data according to its own privacy policy.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Reach us through the form on our Contact page and we’ll respond within 30 days.
Children
Brew and Beam is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above.
